Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-08. By using plab2osce.ai you agree to the terms below.

Educational disclaimer — read first

For more detail see the educational disclaimer page. Use of the Service constitutes acknowledgement of all of the above.

1. Who we are

PLAB 2 OSCE Trainer ("Service", "we") is operated by an independent developer trading as plab2osce.ai. Contact: hi@plab2osce.ai. By creating an account or using the Service you ("you", "Candidate") agree to these Terms.

2. What the Service is — and what it is not

2.1 What it is

An online OSCE practice simulator. You speak with an AI virtual patient through your microphone for 8 minutes per station. After each station, an AI examiner produces a structured feedback report on three domains: Interpersonal Skills (IPS), Data Gathering (DG) and Clinical Management (CM).

2.2 What it is not (extended)

3. Eligibility (you must confirm at signup)

You must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account you confirm and warrant that:

  1. You are a qualified medical graduate (or in your final year of medical study) preparing the UK PLAB 2 / UKMLA-CPSA examination.
  2. You have already passed the GMC PLAB 1 examination, OR you are using this tool only as preparatory rehearsal ahead of registering for PLAB 1 — and you understand that no part of this Service replaces the GMC's own eligibility, identity, or qualification verification process.
  3. You understand that this tool is an independent educational aid and is not GMC-certified.
  4. You will not represent yourself to any third party as having received GMC-recognised training as a result of using this Service.

4. Plans and payment

Prices are in GBP. UK VAT applied where required. Payments processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

4.1 Refunds

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close accounts that violate this section, with refund only for unused paid time.

6. Content ownership

We own the platform, scenarios, prompts and examiner rubrics. You own the audio you record and the transcripts of your own speech. By using the Service you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process your audio and transcripts solely to run the practice session, generate the feedback report and operate the Service. We do not use your recordings to train AI models.

7. AI output disclaimer

AI replies and grades are generated by large language models (Claude Haiku and Sonnet) and may contain errors, omissions or hallucinations. Treat the output as a study prompt, not as authoritative feedback and not as a representation of GMC PLAB 2 marking. Always cross-check with a qualified human mentor.

8. Privacy and data retention

See our Privacy Policy. Voice recordings are auto-deleted 30 days after each session. Account data is removed within 30 days of account deletion (statutory billing records held 7 years).

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 24/7 uptime. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practicable. We are not liable for loss caused by unavailability of third-party services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Cloudflare).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (and £19 for free-tier users). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to:

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. On termination, your data is removed under the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to all account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.

14. Trade marks

"GMC", "General Medical Council", "PLAB" and "UKMLA" are referenced descriptively and are property of the General Medical Council. Use of these terms on this site does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any commercial relationship.
