Terms of Service
Educational disclaimer — read first
- PLAB 2 OSCE Trainer is a private educational aid. It is NOT certified by, accredited by, or in any way endorsed by the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Using this tool does NOT constitute medical training that the GMC, the NHS, or any UK statutory body recognises towards licensure or revalidation.
- The simulated AI examiner score is a large-language-model opinion only. It does NOT represent the actual GMC PLAB 2 marking standard or the rubric used by GMC-appointed examiners on exam day.
- You must already be eligible to sit GMC PLAB 1 or have passed PLAB 1. This tool does not replace, gate, or in any way interact with the GMC eligibility process.
- Audio recordings made on this platform are role-play exercises with a fictional AI patient. They are not real consultations, and you must not upload audio of real patients.
- This platform must not be used to make decisions about real patients or to substitute for clinical supervision.
For more detail see the educational disclaimer page. Use of the Service constitutes acknowledgement of all of the above.
1. Who we are
PLAB 2 OSCE Trainer ("Service", "we") is operated by an independent developer trading as plab2osce.ai. Contact: hi@plab2osce.ai. By creating an account or using the Service you ("you", "Candidate") agree to these Terms.
2. What the Service is — and what it is not
2.1 What it is
An online OSCE practice simulator. You speak with an AI virtual patient through your microphone for 8 minutes per station. After each station, an AI examiner produces a structured feedback report on three domains: Interpersonal Skills (IPS), Data Gathering (DG) and Clinical Management (CM).
2.2 What it is not (extended)
- It is NOT the GMC PLAB 2 examination. We have no relationship of any kind with the GMC.
- It is NOT a GMC-certified training provider. The GMC does not certify private practice tools and we do not claim certification.
- It is NOT medical advice. The clinical content of stations is fictional and exists solely to rehearse consultation flow.
- It is NOT a clinical decision tool. Do not use AI replies, AI examiner output, or any feature of the Service to make decisions about real patients.
- It is NOT a guaranteed pass. Outcomes depend on your knowledge, fluency and exam-day performance.
- It does NOT replace mentor feedback, supervised clinical placements, or hands-on Academy days.
- It is NOT a vehicle for delivering medical training in any jurisdiction. We are not a medical training institution under any UK or non-UK statute.
3. Eligibility (you must confirm at signup)
You must be at least 18 years old. By creating an account you confirm and warrant that:
- You are a qualified medical graduate (or in your final year of medical study) preparing the UK PLAB 2 / UKMLA-CPSA examination.
- You have already passed the GMC PLAB 1 examination, OR you are using this tool only as preparatory rehearsal ahead of registering for PLAB 1 — and you understand that no part of this Service replaces the GMC's own eligibility, identity, or qualification verification process.
- You understand that this tool is an independent educational aid and is not GMC-certified.
- You will not represent yourself to any third party as having received GMC-recognised training as a result of using this Service.
4. Plans and payment
- Free trial — £0 — 5 stations per calendar month. Resets on the first of the month.
- Monthly — £19 per month, billed in advance, cancel anytime in your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Burst (30 days) — £49 one-off, gives unlimited stations for 30 days from purchase. No auto-renew.
Prices are in GBP. UK VAT applied where required. Payments processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
4.1 Refunds
- Monthly plans: cancel at any time; no pro-rata refund for the current period, but no further charges.
- Burst: non-refundable once you have started any station. If you have not started any station, email hi@plab2osce.ai within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.
- Genuine technical fault on our side that prevents you from running stations: contact us, we will refund or extend.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute station content, transcripts or examiner reports.
- Scrape, mass-download, or attempt to extract our prompts and rubrics.
- Use the Service to harass other users or the AI persona in ways unrelated to PLAB 2 practice.
- Upload audio of real patients or any third party who has not consented. Recordings on this platform are intended solely as your own role-play voice.
- Use the Service to impersonate a real medical encounter or to mislead any third party (regulator, employer, immigration authority) into believing the AI feedback represents a GMC scoring decision.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attack the Service.
We may suspend or close accounts that violate this section, with refund only for unused paid time.
6. Content ownership
We own the platform, scenarios, prompts and examiner rubrics. You own the audio you record and the transcripts of your own speech. By using the Service you grant us a non-exclusive licence to process your audio and transcripts solely to run the practice session, generate the feedback report and operate the Service. We do not use your recordings to train AI models.
7. AI output disclaimer
AI replies and grades are generated by large language models (Claude Haiku and Sonnet) and may contain errors, omissions or hallucinations. Treat the output as a study prompt, not as authoritative feedback and not as a representation of GMC PLAB 2 marking. Always cross-check with a qualified human mentor.
8. Privacy and data retention
See our Privacy Policy. Voice recordings are auto-deleted 30 days after each session. Account data is removed within 30 days of account deletion (statutory billing records held 7 years).
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 24/7 uptime. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practicable. We are not liable for loss caused by unavailability of third-party services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Cloudflare).
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (and £19 for free-tier users). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to:
- failed PLAB 2 / UKMLA-CPSA exam attempts;
- missed exam sittings, lost income, immigration outcomes, or visa decisions;
- any decision a third party (employer, regulator, NHS Trust) makes based on AI feedback they were shown;
- any clinical outcome — we are not a clinical decision tool.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. On termination, your data is removed under the retention windows in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be emailed to all account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.
14. Trade marks
"GMC", "General Medical Council", "PLAB" and "UKMLA" are referenced descriptively and are property of the General Medical Council. Use of these terms on this site does not imply endorsement, partnership, or any commercial relationship.
