What you get for less than a single tutor session

Every station mimics the real exam: timer, opening knock, single 8-minute window, examiner standing in the corner, structured report at the end.

15

15 stations, 4 categories

Opening & rapport, history pacing, breaking bad news, patient complaint handling. Re-roll any station as many times as you want.

VC

Voice-based AI patient

Speak into your microphone, the AI patient replies with a natural voice. Powered by OpenAI Whisper for transcription and Claude Haiku for the patient persona.

8m

Hard 8-minute timer

Same as exam day. Once the timer hits zero, the station ends — no extension. Trains your pacing, opening, summarising and safety-netting.

EX

Examiner scoring (IPS · DG · CM)

Claude Sonnet reviews the full transcript and grades you on three GMC-aligned domains. Each grade comes with verbatim quotes pointing at what worked and what failed.

AC

Accent-friendly

Whisper handles Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Nigerian, Egyptian and Filipino English well. The AI patient adapts if a phrase is misheard, exactly like a real patient.

RX

Detailed feedback report

Per-station report: grade per domain, quoted strengths, quoted misses, a short rewrite suggestion for one missed line, and a Markdown export for your study log.

Station 03 — Walk-in chest pain
You
Hello, I'm Dr Khan. I'm one of the doctors. Could I check your name and date of birth?
Patient — James, 54
James Whitfield. 14th of March, 1971. Doctor, this pain in my chest, it's not going away.
You
I'm sorry you're in pain. Can you tell me when it started, and what it feels like?
Patient
About forty minutes ago, mowing the lawn. Like a heavy weight, here in the middle.

IPS — improvement: after the patient said "it's not going away" you moved straight to onset. A short empathic acknowledgement first ("that sounds frightening, you did the right thing coming in") would lift you from a 2 to a 3.

How we compare

Built honest. Not affiliated with the GMC.

We are upfront about what this product is and what it is not.

Independent. Not GMC.

We are an independent training tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the General Medical Council. Scenarios written from public marking guidance only.

AI feedback is a study aid.

Examiner scoring is a study tool to flag patterns. It is not a clinical decision, not an exam decision, and not a substitute for qualified mentor feedback.

30-day audio auto-delete.

Every recording carries a delete_after timestamp set 30 days after the session. A daily cron purges expired audio. Immediate deletion on request at hi@plab2osce.ai.

Pricing built for IMGs.

£19 per month vs £900–£2,500 for in-person courses plus flight, hotel and time off work. Built by an independent developer, not a UK academy.

Frequently asked questions

Everything candidates ask before signing up.

Is this affiliated with the GMC?
No. We are an independent training tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the General Medical Council. Our scenarios are written from publicly available GMC PLAB 2 marking guidance; we never reuse proprietary GMC content or third-party academy scripts.
Will I pass PLAB 2 if I use this?
We do not guarantee a pass. PLAB 2 OSCE Trainer is a practice tool that lets you rehearse consultation flow, timing and rubric awareness. Outcomes depend on your clinical knowledge, English fluency and exam-day performance. Always combine our practice with mentor feedback and clinical placements.
Will the speech recognition understand my Indian / Pakistani / Nigerian / Filipino English accent?
Yes. We use OpenAI Whisper, which is trained on a wide range of English accents including South Asian, West African, Middle Eastern, Bangladeshi and Filipino. If a phrase is misheard, you can re-speak it and the AI patient will adapt naturally — exactly like a real patient.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Audio is automatically deleted 30 days after the session. The database stores a delete_after timestamp on every recording and a daily cron purges expired files. We are GDPR-compliant. You can request immediate deletion at any time at hi@plab2osce.ai.
How is the AI examiner scoring me?
After each 8-minute station, Claude Sonnet reads the full transcript and produces a structured report on three GMC-aligned domains: Interpersonal Skills (IPS), Data Gathering (DG) and Clinical Management (CM). Each domain receives a 1–5 grade with verbatim quotes from your transcript explaining what worked and what to fix.
How is this different from a Manchester academy course?
In-person academies cost £900–£1,500 plus flights and accommodation in the UK. We are £19/month or £49 for a 30-day burst. You practise from home, on your own schedule, as many times as you want. We do not replace mentor feedback — we replace the £40 role-play partner who only has 2 hours a week.
What stations are included?
15 stations across four categories: opening & rapport (new patient, walk-in chest pain, embarrassed presentation, language barrier), history pacing (thunderclap headache, palpitations, paediatric phone call, low-back pain), breaking bad news (lung cancer, miscarriage, end-of-life, HIV positive) and patient complaint handling (missed appendicitis, medication error, discharge against advice).
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. The candidate UI runs in any modern browser with microphone access — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, on desktop, tablet or phone. We recommend a quiet room and a headset for cleanest transcription.
What if I run out of free stations mid-month?
You can upgrade instantly: £19 monthly subscription (cancel anytime) or £49 one-off burst that gives unlimited stations for 30 days. Burst is designed for the final 4 weeks before exam day.
Do you offer refunds?
Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and will not renew. Burst purchases are non-refundable once you have started a station, but if you bought a burst and never used it, email hi@plab2osce.ai within 7 days for a full refund.

Five free cases. No card required.

Sit your first AI station in less than 60 seconds. Burst plan locks in £49 if you buy it before exam month.
