Educational Disclaimer
Important — read before using the platform
PLAB 2 OSCE Trainer is a private educational rehearsal tool built by an independent developer. It is NOT:
- certified, accredited, or in any way endorsed by the General Medical Council (GMC);
- a substitute for the actual GMC PLAB 2 / UKMLA-CPSA examination;
- a substitute for in-person clinical training, supervision, or NHS placement;
- a clinical decision-making tool for use with real patients.
The AI examiner score is a large-language-model opinion only. It does not represent the GMC's marking standard, the actual rubric used by GMC-appointed examiners on exam day, or any guarantee of pass / fail.
1. Who this is for
This product is built for international medical graduates (IMGs) and final-year students who have already cleared (or are preparing to clear) the GMC's eligibility process for PLAB 1 and PLAB 2. We assume you already have:
- a primary medical qualification recognised by the GMC for PLAB eligibility;
- a passing IELTS Academic / OET score (or are working towards one);
- access to clinical placement or shadowing for real-patient experience.
If any of those are missing, you should focus on those steps first — this rehearsal tool will not replace them.
2. What we do
- Run 8-minute role-play conversations with an AI patient via your microphone.
- Produce a structured AI feedback report on three domains modelled after the publicly available GMC marking guidance: Interpersonal Skills (IPS), Data Gathering (DG), Clinical Management (CM).
- Track your timing, pacing and missed cues across stations so you can rehearse weak spots.
3. What we do NOT do
- We do not replicate the actual GMC PLAB 2 examination layout, marshalling, station rotation, or marking scheme.
- We do not score you against the real (confidential) GMC rubric — we cannot, because it is not public.
- We do not issue any kind of certificate of training, attendance, or competence.
- We do not represent that using our product changes your GMC eligibility, fitness-to-practise, or registration status in any way.
- We do not connect to the GMC, the NHS, or any UK regulator. None of your activity here is reported to a third party.

5. Recommended supplements (we do NOT earn commission)
Use this tool for rehearsal volume, but do not skip these:
- GMC official PLAB 2 pages — eligibility, dates, fees, and marking guidance: gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-the-register/plab
- NHS clinical placement / observerships — irreplaceable real-patient exposure.
- In-person OSCE academy (Samson, Plabable, Swamy, Adam Plus, etc.) — human role-play with feedback. Typical cost £900-£1,500.
- Peer study group with role play — even one regular partner is more valuable than any AI tool for fluency.
- Mentor / qualified UK-trained doctor — book at least one mock with a real PLAB 2 mentor before exam day.
- BMJ Learning, GP modules, NICE CKS — for the clinical knowledge layer this tool is not designed to replace.
